the dance
Last night I went to a dance at the Norse Hall. If I had the money, I would dance every night. Maybe I will rework my budget so that is possible. Last night was “ballroom.” The DJ played a variety of songs, a lighted sign spelled out the dance…samba, tango(ballroom, not Argentine), 2 step, rumba, walta, cha cha, fox trot, west coast swing. I am slowly learning. I can follow a good lead to almost anything, but the west coast swing has been the most challenging so far. But I like it. I like the way the quick 3 step makes my hips move. I watched the better dancers last night move so easily. One day I will get there, but I am enjoying it now. And now is what matters.
