i remember one summer
the one after my junior year in college
i moved into “the stone house”
next to the bar I worked
right off the campus.
I rented a bed in a room
not the room, just a bed
i had few possessions
really
all were kept in a
military issue duffle bag
I had one set of sheets
and a single towel

A wonderful serenity has taken possession of my entire soul, like these sweet mornings of spring which I enjoy with my whole heart.
