What Matters
Many years ago I placed myself on a hill in New Mexico with nothing but my prayers and a blanket. Four days later when I walked myself away, I learned that I all I really needed I could carry with me. The world overwhelmed me the days following, my possessions overwhelmed me. Night would never be dark enough again and water would always be especially sweet. All that I need I have within myself.
Kindness is more valuable than diamonds; humor… worth its weight in gold. And patience and empathy can change the world in ways that money never will.
